the moleskine journal dilemma
who would have known that debating whether to buy a lined or unlined moleskine journal next year as a bible journal would turn into a philosophical question about how i want my next year to be.
when i am taking notes, do i want to make broader connections or do i want to do long form thoughts? how do i want to approach my thoughts? how do i want to interact with God? is God calling me to one or the other??
it seems silly (it doesn't just seem silly; it is silly) that i called two people to see what they think and spent multiple hours, even staying up late until 2am, to decide. it also certainly places my deep indecisiveness on display.
however, it has gotten me thinking about the little decisions we make that can in fact have longer lasting impacts on our lives and even the way we interact with and view the world.
as i approach a new year, i want to be intentional with the decisions i make. just maybe not quite as intentional as i was with a freaking moleskine.
